In the rapidly evolving landscape of modern rap and internet-driven music discovery, emerging artist OffTheFanta continues to shape his sound with intention, experimentation, and a strong sense of artistic identity. When discussing his music, OffTheFanta shares insight into how he builds his projects, responds to his audience, and develops the varied sonic palette that defines his work. OffTheFanta reflects on how he chooses the tracks that ultimately make it onto his projects, explaining, “When it comes to how I decide which songs make it onto my album or a playlist I usually make a bunch of tracks and then send them out to my friends. The ones that get good feedback, or ones I really like get released but I can be self critical for sure. Usually I just go off the opinions I get mixed with my own judgement though.”
OffTheFanta goes on to highlight a moment that shifted his perspective on what his audience connects with. He states, “My song ‘Starstruck,’ which was more of a sad type song, ended up doing a lot of streams and tapped into a different type of fanbase I feel. I wasn’t sure that trying that type of style would be something my listeners enjoy, but I got lots of good feedback and people seemed to really appreciate that song.” This success opened the door for deeper exploration, affirming that vulnerability and experimentation resonate strongly with listeners.
When creating new material, OffTheFanta emphasizes an approach rooted in authenticity and personal expression. He shares, “When I’m working on new music, I balance experimenting with new sounds versus sticking to what my audience may love, by just creating what I want to create. At the end of the day I rap to make my own craft so I just find different styles that I like tapping into. Whether it be Aesthetic Rap beats, or bouncy Detroit type beats I have a lot of different sounds I like using in my work. I find that having some good variation in my style choice helps me grow as an artist and have a more diverse portfolio.” OffTheFanta’s approach reveals an artist committed not only to experimentation, but to honest self-expression—a balance that allows him to evolve while staying grounded in his identity. With a willingness to explore new sounds and an ear tuned closely to listener feedback, he continues to expand his creative reach. As his catalog grows, so does the audience eager to follow him through every shift, style, and sonic chapter.
