A Rising Force in the Underground: Princ3 Jok3r Opens Up About Misconceptions, Motivation, and the Future of Music

In an era where digital metrics often overshadow true artistry, Princ3 Jok3r stands firm in defining success on his own terms. Emerging from the underground scene, he emphasizes dedication, creativity, and resilience over chart placements. He shares insights into his journey, the evolving music landscape, and the misconceptions that surround him.
Princ3 Jok3r states, “As an artist who has never been on the charts or had any big numbers yet, I measure my success with music based on how hard I work toward my goals.” He explains that discipline has become a core part of his artistic identity. He continues, “I make it a habit to release tapes and singles throughout the year and promote those songs to get the recognition they deserve.” Consistency, he notes, is essential not only for growth but for his own happiness and well-being. Princ3 Jok3r shares that if music releases slow down, he feels a sense of guilt. “If I don’t release any music for a while, I feel guilty like I let myself down… so I try to stay happy and focused on everything I’m doing.”
Still, the modern era of streaming brings its emotional challenges. “I admit when I do get distracted, I tend to get discouraged when I see someone else has more numbers than I do but my song is more appealing than theirs,” he reveals. After reflecting on this, he explains the reality behind the disparity: “They have stuff I don’t—like a whole team to back them on every move they make.” Despite the obstacles, he remains optimistic. “It’s okay—I work with what I got, and in time my resources will improve, and I will build the team I need… in this ever-evolving industry.”

When asked about the next decade of music, Princ3 Jok3r is honest about the uncertainties. “I honestly have no idea how the industry will evolve over the next decade,” he states. But one thing is certain to him: “The Underground is Taking Over.” He highlights the sheer volume and dedication of the community: “There are realistically over 2 million artists that make up the underground industry, and we have been fighting for years to make ourselves known and heard across the whole entire world.”Even as emerging talent grows, he acknowledges the stability of mainstream titans, noting that artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Doja Cat, Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne, and more will continue shaping the industry.

Princ3 Jok3r shares that public perception often oversimplifies who he is. “There’s a few misconceptions about me, they judge this book by the cover a little too much,” he states. Listeners often expect him to follow a particular musical formula, but he rejects the idea entirely. “Some people expect me to take a different approach when it comes to music, but they have no idea how my mind works or what I’m feeling.” Instead, he embraces total creative freedom. “I create what I want, how I want, where I want, with who I want.” And to those who oppose or doubt him, he makes his stance unmistakably clear:“So forget everyone who doesn’t like me, and whose trying to stop me trying stop me—Y’all ain’t stopping sh**.” Princ3 Jok3r’s reflections reveal an artist driven not by numbers but by passion, independence, and relentless ambition. His unwavering belief in himself—and in the power of the underground movement—positions him as a rising force within an industry that rewards both perseverance and authenticity. As he continues to grow, evolve, and build the team he envisions, one thing is certain: Princ3 Jok3r has no intention of slowing down, and even fewer intentions of conforming.
