Frank Vibes, an emerging voice in the hip-hop scene, continues to captivate listeners with his introspective lyrics and energetic performances. Known for blending personal reflection with dynamic beats, he has steadily built a loyal following on SoundCloud and beyond. He shares, "The most popular song I have created was off my mixtape last year titled 'A Story of Rhythm,' exclusively on SoundCloud. I have this song called 'Purple Thoughts' that I would consider my most popular song.” He states that outside of 'For The Love Of It,' it is his most viewed music video on his channel and one of his most streamed songs. “It’s a powerhouse when I perform. Even if people aren’t familiar with the song, by the end of the performance I have everyone singing the hook,” he adds. Purple Thoughts delves into deep, reflective thoughts inspired by personal experiences, and Frank notes, “Nothing like a fat blunt and personal reflection—that’s literally Purple Thoughts to a tee.
On the topic of his latest work, Frank Vibes shares, “My latest single, titled 'Want to Be,' is the lead single off my new album, 'Kenkai’s Cave,' available everywhere except Spotify. The song adds to the overall narrative of the album, which is overcoming personal demons. Want To Be is an introspective track that deals with the beginning confrontation with self. It is the perfect song to give a snapshot of what the album is about while being bold enough to stand on its own as well.” Reflecting on his release plans for the year, he states in a recent interview, “It’s ‘Black Urameshi Season,’ which simply means I’m dropping all year.” He shares, “I have three albums dropping this year. I already dropped the first of these planned releases on my birthday, January 6th. 'The Black Urameshi,' originally released on SoundCloud in 2022, will be available on all streaming platforms April 1st. The last of the projects, 'The Black Urameshi 2,' will be dropping October 10th." Frank Vibes explains that all of these albums belong to his “Black Urameshi Saga” of projects, which he calls his “Self-Series.” He shares, “Each of these albums delves within self and how the current events of my life are influencing my mind at the moment.”
Reflecting on his past, Frank Vibes states, “I dropped The Black Urameshi when I was 26, after two people close to me were killed. In that moment, I wanted to give up on everything, but I decided to write that album instead. It made me not just reflect on their deaths but my life up to that point.” Looking at his current work, he shares, “Kenkai’s Cave comes from me now at 30, just reviewing what three decades on this planet consist of.” On his upcoming project, he adds, “The Black Urameshi 2 will explore my feelings about my career and love life at 30—the highs and lows I experienced and how I choose to persevere through it all.” Frank Vibes continues to use his music as a lens through which he examines life’s challenges, triumphs, and introspections. With multiple projects on the horizon and a distinct voice that resonates with fans, he solidifies his position as an artist unafraid to share his journey and inspire others through his craft.
