When it comes to deciding which songs make it onto the final track, album, and playlist, J-Ness shares, “I usually go through all the recent records that I’ve recorded, play them back and pick the best ones. Sometimes I send a zip folder over to my cousin with all the recent tracks and he’ll help me pick out the best ones for the project as well.”
Reflecting on a major milestone in his career, J-Ness states, “My biggest record that surprised me so far is my song titled ‘Coming to Collect.’ I released it in the summer of 2018, and it reached over 300,000 views on YouTube. I wasn’t sure what kind of response I was going to get from the record, being that it was very controversial, but the response turned out to be great and I gained a lot of fans from that song.”

I try to keep my style current, yet original so that it doesn’t sound like everything else that’s out. I love to please my fans, but I also have to make the type of music that my heart is telling me to create,” he shares.
