Cdott, a rising talent in the music industry, is making waves with his unique sound and raw, emotional storytelling. One of his most popular songs to date is Subbin’ Me, an unreleased track inspired by a personal experience involving a girl who was dissing him and subtweeting about him on Instagram. At the time, Cdott wasn’t active on Instagram, but his friend let him know what was going on. “Next thing I knew, I was sitting there mad as hell, wondering why she was doing that—why she was subtweeting me when I hadn’t done anything wrong,” he shared. The emotions of that moment quickly fueled his creativity, and within ten minutes, he had written the song. He went to the studio the same day to record it. Even now, fans continue to ask him to drop the track, with many considering it one of his best works.
Cdott’s latest release, Back at It, came at a time when he and his girlfriend were going through a difficult phase in their relationship. The song reflects the emotions and challenges he was facing during that time, as he expressed his feelings about her and their struggles. “I was expressing how I felt about her and what we were going through, and how I wanted to get better for her and for myself,” Cdott explained. Although the song was recorded months earlier in a different context, it was released at a time when their relationship hit another rough patch, making it a deeply personal and timely release.
Looking ahead, Cdott is gearing up for the release of his upcoming EP, which is set to drop very soon. While he doesn’t have a specific date yet, he assures fans that it’s coming soon, accompanied by a video—his first ever. “I’ve got a whole rollout planned for this EP to get my name out there and get noticed more, both locally and nationally,” he said. The title of the EP is UNTIL I’M BACK, and it represents a deep dive into Cdott’s personal journey. The EP is meant to provide insight into a time when he felt lost, trapped in a “mirror maze,” and struggling to figure out his next steps. “I was going backward and didn’t know what to do or where to go,” he admitted. The project captures the beginning of Cdott’s transformation, from stepping into the streets and becoming a rapper to embracing his true self and taking his music career seriously. “This EP is here until I’m back to being me,” he said, emphasizing that it’s not just about his music but also about his growth as an individual. The upcoming release promises to offer a deeper look into the man behind the music and marks the next chapter in his evolving career.
